BOSTON, Mass. - Boston College today announced they have added a free downloadable desktop alert application, The B-Line, to their official athletic web site (www.bceagles.com), providing fans and alumni of the Eagles instant access to information related to the league.
The B-Line gives fans a full view of Boston College, alerting them to the latest breaking news, stories, as well as highlights, all while allowing one-click access to bceagles.com. Free software for the B-Line is available for both PCs and Macs and can be downloaded through the official site, http://www.bceagles.com (click here to download the free software).
Bceagles.com is produced and hosted by CBS College Sports Network, a leader in the official collegiate athletic website business with over 200 colleges and universities currently under contract. The B-Line was provided to Boston College through a partnership agreement between CBS College Sports Network and New Tier, Inc, a pioneer and industry leader in digital marketing solutions. CBS College Sports Network and New Tier are facilitating the launch of similar versions of the B-Line at 75 colleges and universities by the fall of 2009.
"CBS College Sports Network is thrilled to bring the B-Line to the users of bceagles.com and to fans and alumni of Boston College around the world," said Robert Schupler, Senior Vice President, University Sales & Marketing for CBS College Sports Network. "The B-Line is a lot like having your own personal sporting news ticker docked at the bottom of your screen, providing the latest news, scores and information directly to the desktop."
