Florida State opened its 2009 football preseason camp with a crisp practice session Friday evening which drew praise from coach Bobby Bowden and the Seminoles' staff.

"We went faster with play," said Bowden, who begins his 34th season
at the helm. "Instead of having one group over here working, we divided
it into two, so two groups could get the same (repetitions) that one
used to get. We got a lot of work today. They went double time and they
held up pretty doggone good. It was a pretty good first practice."

Just over 100 Seminoles hit the field in shorts and helmets for the
2 ½-hour session, which was neither short on effort or highlights.

Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher said the Seminoles practiced at a "championship tempo."

The players noticed the difference.

Greensboro, NC - NC State Wolfpack football coach Tom O'Brien was among the twelve ACC football coaches present at the 2009 ACC Football Kickoff.

Bobby Bowden would rather open with someone other than Miami. Appeal of the Miami vs Florida State game is still there and that's why the game is being plyed on a national stage.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State's athletics department and Seminole Boosters have combined to make continuing to attend Seminole football home games easier for recent FSU grads. The new Young Alumni program will make a reduced price season ticket available to alumni within the first three years of their graduation as well as offering a special booster membership.

This week's edition features the 2003 hit by Stanford Samuels, highlights from the 1999 National Championship Season, and one of the most famous plays by Heisman Trophy winner Charlie Ward. Click below to watch Volume III.
