WFU's Riley Skinner Named to Davey O'Brien Award Watch List
Wake Forest quarterback Riley Skinner has been named to the watch list for the 2009 Davey O'Brien Award, given annually to the nation's top collegiate quarterback.
Riley Skinner, WFU QBSkinner is one of 33 quarterbacks named to the preseason watch list. The semifinalists for the award will be selected in late October.
Skinner, a 6-1, 210-pound senior from Jacksonville, Fla. (The Bolles School) will be starting for a fourth consecutive year. The national leader in completion percentage in 2007, Skinner holds Wake Forest's school records for season and career completion percentage and season and career passing efficiency.
For his career, Skinner has completed 639 of 949 passes for 6,602 yards and 34 touchdowns. He is fourth in school history in career passing yards, second in completions and fifth in touchdown passes.
